CHS Snowmakers is the only independent representative for Snow Magic in the USA.  This technology is new to America and will change the snow sports industry.  Started in 1993 in Japan when a need for snow raised during warm winter months, Snow Magic was born.  Now there are over 90 of these Snow Magic units in operation in Japan.  This temperature independent snowmaking system can make snow regardless of the temperature.  These snowmaking units can make snow for indoor snow facilities or even cover an entire ski trail at a ski area.  Snowmaking changed the ski industry over 50 years ago by guaranteeing that ski areas could open every winter and even allowed new ski areas to open where skiing wasn't even possible.  Snow Magic will change the industry again by bringing snow to anywhere in the world.  With units in the middle east now in operation for indoor facilities, kids, parents and anyone that has never got to play in real snow now can.  Some of these facilities are also including ski slopes so people can learn to ski and snowboard.  Just think, all these people in the world that are going to learn to ski and snowboard will now want to travel to real ski areas.  This will change the face of the snow sports industry forever.
The units are available in 25 ton, 50 ton, 100 ton and new for October 2004 the portable 40 ton unit.  The 50 ton unit will produce 3,330 cu. Ft/day with an average temperature of 50 degrees F.  You will be able to cover an estimated 250 foot long trail, 50' wide and 1' foot deep every 24 hours.  That will provide enough snow for a tubing hill in just 24 hours when conventional snowmaking couldn't make a flake of snow.  The 40 ton portable unit will be available for special events and rentals.  We anticipate there will be a great need for this unit this fall and winter so reserve your spot now.
Snow Magic systems use a form of an ice maker to freeze the water and then their patented crushing system produces snow crystals that have an average micron size (diameter) of 0.3 millimeters and then the snow is blown out a flexible hose up to 600' away to make piles of snow.  Since the snow is frozen in a chamber there is no loss of water to evaporation like conventional snowmaking.  In the long run this will add up to large saves on water use and energy use for making snow.
For more detailed information go to www.SnowMagic.com and we will be happy to answer any questions you have and give a custom quote for rental or purchase options.
The future of snowmaking is here.

Xanadu Snowdome Breaks Ground with Expert Help of Mountain Creek Snow Magic system will be used.
