Fire Fighting Pre-Planning is a brand new service offered
only by Jason Sawin with CHS Snowmakers.
I have been a volunteer firefighter and career firefighter since 1993.
My experience ranges from ski area operations to structural and
wildland fire fighting. In recent
years with ski areas threatened or even destroyed by wildfires I feel there
needs to be better pre planning between ski area personnel, local fire
departments and forest service firefighters. In the next few months I will build a good pre-plan for
many ski areas to start preparations for this summer. This pre-plan will include brand new strategies for both the
ski area and the fire department. Also
included will be new hose fittings exclusively from CHS Snowmakers and HTM to
make a snowmaking system that is user friendly for fire personnel. This service will be available for a reasonable fee.
Onsite hourly rate is $75 an hour (minimum 8 hours) plus expenses.
General pre-plans will be available without an onsite visit for a
minimal fee. Inter agency
training will be available in the future. Give me a call so we can schedule an onsite visit.
